USING Skspe BLOG (Frequently Asked Questions)

CREATE AN ACCOUNT (Getting Started)
  1. Send Tom JImenez (@ Hoover) an email via Groupwise and he will send you an Invitation to join the Skspe Blog.
  2. You will need to follow the link in the Invitation.
  3. Create a USER NAME that contains at least one number in it.
  4. Create a PASSWORD than contains at least six characters.
  5. Create DISPLAY NAME (how your name is displayed at end of posts)
  6. Enter EMAIL ADDRESS
  7. Agree to ACCEPTANCE OF TERMS (Put check in box)
  8. Press CONTINUE


    9. DONE!

POSTING MESSAGES TO SKSPE BLOG

  1. From the Dashboard (Main page) double click on the Plus Sign (Create a New Post button)
  2. You are now in the POSTING window. Type in your message.
  3. When you are finished then click on the PUBLISH POST button at the bottom of the screen.
    Done.

FORMATTING MESSAGES

  1. In the POSTING window they are various options for formatting your message.
  2. FONT SIZE - Allows you to choose what font of type you'd like to use and also what size you would like it to be. I usually select the "Arial" font (which is the font on this page) because it's a little smaller than the others. But there are lots of things you can do.
  3. BOLD, ITALIC & FONT COLOR - Allows you to control those options in your message. As usual, highlight the text that you want to effect and then apply your effect.
  4. HYPERLINK (Chain Icon) - Allows you to enter a hyperlink to a website on the internet. The easiest way to do this is:
    • Click on the Chain Icon to open HYPERLINK.
    • Copy the URL of the website that you would like to provide a link to (the http://part in the address window).
    • Paste the URL into the HYPERLINK URL box
    • Click OK
  5. ALIGNMENT - Align Left, Align Center, Align Right, Justify
  6. LISTS - You can also create umbered Lists or Bulleted Lists (like this)
  7. BLOCKQUOTE - Allows you to format a quotation
  8. PICTURE (Picture Icon) - Allows to you to include a picture into your post.
    • Click on the Picture Icon to open PICTURE
    • An UPLOAD PICTURES window will open up
    • Select a picture either from your harddrive or the internet
    • Choose a layout (left, center, right, etc)
    • Choose an image size (small is better!!)
    • Click on the UPLOAD IMAGE button
