 Day 1, 2:

Solo dribbling practice-not touching others ball, inside/outside of foot, fast/slow, switch ball with another student on “change!” command.  Dribbling games: “Bubbles” and “Pirates”

 

Practice trapping fundamentals solo/partner

Day 3, 4:

Review dribbling skills

Pass/trap with partner

(stationary/moving)

Kicking to target

Pinball Soccer

Day 5:

 

Goal Kicking

Goal Keeping practice

Line Soccer (emphasizing goal keeping)

Day 6-8:

Mini Soccer:

2 on 2, 4 on 4

I will use the district scoring guide for movement to authentically assess students.  The scoring guide is based on a 1-6 scale and will be used to evaluate each critical element.  The students must receive a 4 on each element to pass the assessment.

Day 2

Warm-up:

Review and Practice dribbling and trapping…looking up!

Day 3

Warm-up: Indy 500

Demo and explain passing

Pass/Trap-inside of foot with partner.  Stationary/moving

Target Ticking

PinBall Soccer

Day 4

Warm-up:  Card-Suit Aerobics

Review dribbling, passing, trapping, kicking to a target

Practice skills

Foot to Foot

Sharks and Minnows Soccer style

Day 5

Warm-up:  Jump Roping

Demo and practice GoalKeeping-with a partner

Line Soccer-emphasize goalkeeping

DAY 6

Warm-up: Jogging

Partner Pass/Trap

Discuss dribbling assessment

Assess students during 2 on 2 soccer

Shake hands

 

DAY 7

Warm-up:  Partner Jogging

Discuss Sportsmanship

Continue assessment during 4 on 4 games

Shake Hands/who had good sportsmanship?
